The egg developed in a gradual way and as you can see I love a granulated feeling to the background, which has two small areas of rich deep brown almost bursting through. Towards the top of the egg, I just adored pulling the egg shape carefully to create strange elongated swirls and with the light creamy brown, I pulled this down into the rich deep brown below giving a melting, oozing, velvety eatable egg.

My name is Gillian Owen and I adore creating art. Each picture develops from somewhere in the ether and then is born. Some works are colorful some are monochromatic and they cover a range of themes from abstract dinosaurs, scent bottles, and oil landscapes. I have several oil paintings and drawings in private collections and have exhibited with the SWA and Pastel society in London.
